Providence War Memorial
View of the Providence War Memorial at its original location on Post Office Bridge at the intersection of Canal and Steeple Streets, behind the Post Office. The monument is a tall column topped with a woman in robes, and with bas-relief carvings around its base. Businesses and other buildings are seen in the background. The monument was later moved to Memorial Park on South Main Street in front of the State Courthouse and Post Office Bridge was reengineered.
